BRISTOL FARMS® has collected a long string of accolades since its first store opened in 1982 in Rolling Hills, Calif. Local media have given the Carson-based gourmet and specialty food retailer their "best" attribution, naming BRISTOL FARMS the "best small market," with the "best deli," "best sushi," "best meat" and "best cooking school." In Zagat's most recent Marketplace Survey, BRISTOL FARMS was rated the No. 1 market in overall quality and service; stores were described as "a shopper's beautiful dream with wide aisles, helpful staff, and beautiful presentations."
Each of BRISTOL FARMS' 16 stores were carefully designed and decorated to create a singular shopping experience that evokes the local area. For example, the Manhattan Beach, Calif., store features murals depicting the coastal city in the 1930s and the Mission Viejo, Calif., store evokes images of nearby Mission San Juan Capistrano. Other design features include stand-alone "shops" with full facades and themed props.
Not only does BRISTOL FARMS design each store's atmosphere to be evocative of the local area, it goes to the next level by becoming an integral part of the communities in which the company operates. A conscientious effort is made on behalf of BRISTOL FARMS to support the many philanthropic organizations in the communities surrounding the markets, as well as national organizations including the City of Hope and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, with exciting in-store events for charity and numerous product donations to the local groups.
