The Retail Accounting Services Inventory Scheduling Team takes the hassles of inventory scheduling off clients' hands. SUPERVALU can handle all scheduling arrangements, reminders and billing between clients and the inventory service provider. SUPERVALU works with service providers that specialize in retail inventories, and have built strong relationships with them that are put to work for clients. This provides a greater likelihood of getting an inventory date of choice.

Inventory Service includes the following:

  • Managing all scheduling arrangements between the owner and the inventory service, including schedule changes
  • Confirmation and reminder notices sent to the business owner
  • Scheduling inventories a year in advance to help ensure dates that meet business needs
  • Choice of departments inventoried
  • Ability to provide LIFO categories and calculations
  • Comparative reports to previous inventories, prepared by the inventory service
  • Inventory service fees are billed on a weekly SUPERVALU retailer statement
  • Extension of backroom inventories taken by store personnel is an option
