The Retail Accounting Services Payroll Team provides a complete payroll service that includes a broad range of employer-related functions, giving clients more time to manage their business. SUPERVALU's experienced and knowledgeable staff uses the latest technology and up-to-date practices to satisfy all needs in the payroll processing and recordkeeping arena. In addition to processing checks, maintaining payroll records and preparing quarterly returns, SUPERVALU's team also performs human resource compliance functions, such as tracking benefit plans and vacation time.
Features and options:
- Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly check processing
- Checks issued on a SUPERVALU bank account, eliminating additional bank reconciliation and bank activity fees
- Net pay billed on clients' retailer statement and drafted from their bank account the following week, improving cash flow
- Ability to submit payroll and access employee history via the Internet and SVHarbor
- Annual W-2 preparation
- Quarterly federal, state and local payroll tax return preparation
- Electronic payment of federal, state and county payroll tax deposits (if required by the state)
- Electronic reporting of quarterly state unemployment and annual W-2 information (if required by the state)
- New hire reporting to the state
- Inter-store/department pay transfers
- Management and tracking of employee garnishments
- All applicable payroll reports transmitted via the Internet
- Weekly interface of payroll data directly into SUPERVALU's General Ledger system
- No delivery fees if truck mail is used
- Direct deposit is available as an option
- W-2 addition processing is available as an option
- HR processing functions are also available including time accrual, absence management and benefits administration
