Supplier Diversity…is a business program that encourages the use of previously underutilized diverse vendors as suppliers!
Diverse classifications:
African American, Native American, Hispanic, Asian
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT)
Veterans, Disabled & Women
Definition of Certification:
All suppliers must be certified, 51% US owned and operated by a minority, woman or other diverse group.
National Certifying agencies:
NMSDC – National Minority Supplier Development Council
WBENC – Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
NGLCC – National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce
USPAACC – US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce
