Executive Vice President, Retail, Marketing and Private Brands

Anne Dament joined SUPERVALU in January 2017 as the Senior Vice President of Retail, Merchandising, and Marketing and promoted to Executive Vice President, Retail, Marketing and Private Brands in November 2017.

Dament began her career with SUPERVALU as a buyer in the 1990s, then spent the next nearly 20 years in roles with ConAgra Foods, Otis Spunkmeyer and Safeway. During her tenure at Safeway, she had roles of increasing responsibility, including numerous category director positions, as well as Vice President Business Unit General Manager, Homecare and General Merchandise; Group Vice President, Safeway.com; and Group Vice President, Perishable Strategy. Dament developed and implemented sales plans and strategic initiatives in key grocery growth areas, including perishables, general merchandise and online and home delivery.

In 2009, Dament joined PetSmart, serving first as Vice President of Merchandising Solutions, responsible for the planning and execution of merchandising strategy, including assortments, space planning, price optimization, promotion and visual merchandising. In 2012 she became Vice President of Services, accountable for the services business and customer reservation center, as well as managing all payroll and labor allocation for 1,300 stores and 15,000+ employees.

Dament joined Target Corporation in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Merchandising, responsible for food merchandising for the company’s Grocery business, including perishables, non-perishables, food service and private label brands.

Dament holds a BA in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
